Common Deficiencies in Schema Control

Gains:

  • Can list common errors in the flow chart
  • Can review a schematic against the standard
  • Can detect deficiencies and warn early

There are places in the diagram that an experienced eye looks at first. This unit gives that checklist; The same list is used when auditing artificial intelligence.

Common deficiencies

  1. Screen surface incompatible with the capacity: the roller length is suitable for the tonnage, but the planesifter surface is insufficient. The facility operates 300 tons on paper, but 250 tons in reality.
  2. Lack of purifier: If the semolina purification capacity is low, low ash flour will not meet the target.
  3. Ambiguity of the return line: If it is not written which passage the intermediate product returns to, an argument will arise during commissioning.
  4. Incomplete representation of aspiration (air) lines: surprises in field installation if dust control and product transport air are not accounted for.
  5. Not placing weighbridges and sampling points: if the process cannot be measured, it cannot be improved.
  6. Failure to consider the product changeover (type change) scenario: the scheme optimized for one type of flour becomes blocked when switching to the second product.

How to audit

The diagram is read together with the target product and capacity. "Will this scheme produce this type of flour with this wheat, in this capacity?" The question is at the center of every control. It is not possible to look at the diagram alone and say "correct".

Keep the checklist written. The list you have in mind varies from project to project; The written list does not change and can be transferred to the new engineer.
